About Learnful
Our goal at Learnful School Readiness is to spark a curiosity and love of learning in your 3-year-old, and empower your 4-year-old to feel confident walking into their Prep classroom. We do this by providing a play-based learning environment where children have the opportunity to engage in fun, interactive, hands-on experiences that develop critical skills needed for life at school.
Our sessions develop children’s social & emotional, cognitive, language & communication, resilience, independence, self-help, fine & gross motor, and foundational literacy & numeracy skills - this is the toolkit of skills that enables children to manage school life and be prepared to learn. Our Prep-like classroom, routines & procedures also gives children their very first insight into life at Prep in a gentle and nurturing way, so it isn't such a shock when they first arrive to school. This bridges the gap between Kindy and Prep, allowing children to walk through their Prep classroom door with excitement and confidence!
We take pride in our thoughtful planning, where each child's interests and learning goals are catered to through differentiated activities. With only 4 to 8 children per class, ample one-on-one time for each child enables maximum growth & development, preparing children for a successful and smooth transition to school.

Hi, my name is Nikki and I'm so excited to have you here!
I'm a mum of two and a qualified primary school teacher with over 15 years teaching experience. My career has taken me to primary schools across Brisbane & Sydney, and I also enjoyed teaching English and mentoring teachers at Brisbane State High School for several years. However, my heart and biggest passion lies with our littlest learners, and I always find myself drawn back to them!
After many years of teaching Prep, and also having 2 children of my own, I’ve recognised the need and demand for specific early learning and school readiness for our little ones in the years BEFORE they start school. The growing body of research about the growth of a child’s brain between 0-5 years is proving why early childhood development is so important - these early years shape our children’s future capacities, personalities and well-being! Additionally, too many of our little ones are struggling with the transition from Kindy to Prep (because the two learning environments and expectations are so different), so I've developed a program that empowers children to feel confident during this special time by developing critical skills necessary for school life in a play-based environment that the children absolutely love.
Learnful School Readiness bridges the gap between Kindy and Prep, enabling our little ones kick-start their education with a smile. I will identify your child's strengths and challenges, and work with you and your child to help them gain the skills and confidence to make a strong start. Our environment is fun and exciting, so children absolutely love learning with us! Which is exactly our goal – to develop a LOVE of learning in every child so they are EXCITED to go to school!
